Harare Residents Trust want Tendai Mahachi banned from town houseHarare Residents Trust has called for the ban of former Harare Town Clerk Tendai Mahachi accusing him of destroying the council.
The calls come at a time when the local authority is calling for the new applicants to take up the post which was left vacant when Mahachi was fired.
There were indications that Mahaci is still interested in landing the job again but the trust says he is not fit to have a second chance to run council affairs any more.
"Former Town Clerk in Harare should not be allowed back at Town House ever again. Dr Tendai Mahachi does not deserve a second chance at destroying Harare, the capital city, because his tenure was the worst of all Harare's Town Clerks," said the trust.
The trust said Mahachi went to the Labour Court and claimed that the City of Harare was offering him peanuts, and therefore he wanted to be allowed to remain as Town Clerk until 2018.
"Mahachi is greedy and incompetent," said the trust.
