A Mount Darwin man, Busywork Kambaza, believed to be Dr Joice Mujuru's relative had his home set on fire yesterday by alleged Zanu-PF thugs.

According to Zimbabwe People First interim youth chairman for Mashonaland Central province Tito Manyika the huts were burnt because of the overwhelming show of support for the ZimPF rally in Dotito on the 29th of October.

"Dr Joice Mujuru's brother 'builder' Busywork Kambaza got his two huts burnt by suspected ZANU PF thugs who were freaked by our Dotito rally which had over 7000 supporters.

"Kazambara is part of our information and publicity personnel in Mt Darwin and this did not augur well with ZANU PF thugs who realised that he mobilized quite a huge crowd than expected," he said.

A police report was filed at around 3am at Mt Darwin police station and Kazamba lost a lot of inputs, blankets and other valuables that were in the houses.

Fortunately there was no one in the two huts as Kazamba is said to be a polygamist and his other family which resides at the burnt home had travelled.

Manyika blasted ZANU PF political commissar Saviour Kasukuwere and labelled him a thug and a godfather of violence and intimidation.

"As the provincial youth chairman I condemn this thuggish and barbaric act that has been perpetrated by ZANU PF supporters. Kasukuwere must stop intimidating our people.

"We are not going back to Rhodesia anymore and if they beat, burn our houses or intimidate our supporters that will not silence us and they shall see the truth come 2018 elections.

"ZANU PF has no support anymore and we will soldier on and protect our people so that they will vote for PF and our president Mai Mujuru a true war veteran," he said.

Efforts to contact Mashonaland Central ZANU PF chairman Dickson Mafios were fruitless up to the time of this writing.

Meanwhile, Mashonaland Central province police headquarters (Bindura) said they were yet to get the report and referred all questions to Mt Darwin police station.
