Mthwakazi activist Hloniphani Ncube has said sometime people must not take the boycott of elections by people in Matabeleland as docility.

This come in the wake of reports that there were concerns over the low turn out of people in the region during the voter registration process.

"I hear an outcry about the low voter registration turnout particularly in Matabeleland kwa Mthwakazi and this must not disturb people. Some times deciding not to participate in something must not be viewed as docility rather it is a voice," he said.

"Our people are simply saying these are not our national elections rather they are for the benefit of the enemy and to many who did not register to vote they see participation in these Zimbabwean elections as legitimising the ongoing oppression of Matabeleland by the government of Gukurahundist."

He said their people are aware that since the introduction of the Gukurahundist in Mthwakazi there is no fair election that has been conducted.

"Apart from that, these national parties inclusive of Zanu PF and MDC there are just one. Thus why MDC T or alliance is talking about respecting Mnangagwa and his partners in implementing Gukurahundist policies. Do not judge us in Matebeleland we know what we are doing and we know and understand the effective way of freeing our country," he said.
