In an effort to strengthen the local cultural policy in Zimbabwe Amagugu International Heritage Center has said it will be convening workshops so as to capacitate the councillors and council officials  in the project areas of fundamentals of arts and culture.

"Having concluded and launched a baseline survey report on the state of the creative and cultural industries in Mangwe, Matobo, uMzingwane and Beitbridge, the next phase of the Strengthening Local Cultural Policy in Zimbabwe project is convening of workshops to enhance the capacity of Councillors and Council officials in the project areas on the fundamentals of arts and culture," the organisation posted on Facebook.

"The first training workshop will be conducted next week for Mangwe and Matobo Rural District Councils in Matobo. The workshops are a precursor to crafting of cultural policies and strategies to facilitate mainstreaming of arts and culture in service delivery."

The organisation said if interested in accessing a copy of the baseline survey report send an email to written baseline survey report on the subject line and we will gladly send you a copy.
