Robert Mugabe: A case for ageing and digestive health

The Editor,
In simple and plain language, I want to state that there are plusses and minuses for getting older. For those who accept the obvious, they get more time to relax and enjoy life. The reality for everyone however, is that old age has its many health challenges. Disorders such as digestive health disorders can affect anyone but it is obvious elder people face the brunt of age-related digestive symptoms.
Even though I am not a doctor, I have stayed with my grandpa who lived to be 100 years and I realized that constipation brought much misery to his long life. His happiest days were when he defected, even though it meant defecating in his pants since he could not visit the bushes to help himself anymore.
Talking to friends who immigrated to the first world, I now understand that constipation is a big problem. While it is not a disease in itself, it is one big problem affecting most people over 60 years. My friends tell me that sometimes they have to get in back there to pull the feces out.
One of my friends told me that this is likely what Mugabe is going through. She referred me to the video interview Mugabe did with Mandizvidza for his birthday. She said you could tell Mugabe's fidgeting and discomfort sitting on the chair. He seemed like he was trying to let the gas out but then he can't.
As a President, there is pride and dignity of office therefore Mugabe's bowl movements have to be clearly watched. Since he is a good case of aging and digestive health, his family have to fly him out so fecal matter can be pulled out. Mugabe exhibits his happiest moments every time he comes back from Singapore, ever wondered why?
Sincerely,
