Mushumbi High has the potential of being among top 100 schools in the country. On 16 September 2004 his Excellency President Robert Gabriel Mugabe donated computers to the school as to pave way for the learning of ICT at the school. Where are we as Mushumbi high? Are we doing ICT learning? Do we have the e-learning programme? Mushumbi High is a boarding school but in terms of its structural development one might opt to call Chifamba High a day school in Guruve a boarding school.
Parents are happy to send children to Mushumbi High because of its reputation in the quality of education over the past years. As things seemed to be going normal at the school, parents need to be convinced that are children having quality education? The school has adequate staff to handle and abolish indiscipline at the school, which comprise of guards, matron, warden and teachers on duty. If all the members are equipped to do the best of the duties cases indiscipline will come to an end since the enrolment is manageable. Teaching staff should be able to handle learner cases with good approach to avoid hitting headlines in papers. What criterion is being used for choosing senior lady at the school? One is confused at the way at which the post is delegated at the school. Let well staff developed senior members handle cases of indiscipline effectively please!
What is the problem for the school not to have a master timetable till 23 March yet only two weeks left for the term to come to an end? The biggest worry is, did the learner benefit from that delay in drafting a master timetable? The school should have purchased timetable software. Master timetables are vital in the education fraternity as for teachers will be able to plan their work according to their schemes of work. Without the timetable even students will be confused worse because they also need to get prepared for the next lesson. The worst part of the situation is that teachers are complaining over the opening meeting which is still to be done while the school term is almost over. How are you operating guys at Mushumbi High? Please we need real help for the future of our kids to whom we are investing in. We need 80% and above pass rate but when operating without a timetable 38% will be the best. Our Advanced levels and Ordinary levels are only left with second term only.
After a good AGM financial presentation that really does not indicated ZESA arrears, why the schools power supply was cut by ZETDC? Why the school is not paying services to the company which prompted the company to cut supply to the school? What was the purpose of the school having paid a huge amount to allowances to its staff while they did not settle for ZESA bills? Are our children going to enjoy learning at the school? Are our children not going to eat rotten meat again? Are our kids going to read with torches? Why opted to reduce fees while having pending debts? Why Mushumbi High? Why? Why?
Please improve on the water system at the school. It will help even the Agriculture department for Garden. Retain Mushumbi High to its high Standard please. The only new thing at the school is the bus otherwise things are going down. Let the school shine to resemble all other government school in this country. MPOSA Mushumbi Pools Old Student Association guys please let's help the school together with the newly elected SDC board. SDC please work hard to leave a living legacy. You need to look into a number of areas. The history of the school can tell that its standards are going down.
