I know who is betraying Africa?

31 May 2017 at 21:28hrs | Views
Africa is not just a piece of land (continent) as some might think, but it is also a spirit. The Spirit of loving the African race, ubuntuism as some would like to call it. The driving force, which unified the inhabitants of the blessed continent that lived before us. Africa has been referred to as a loving and caring mother, but now where is she?

As Africans we used to be one, but what happened to the children of Africa? One of the key solutions to African problems is love, the gene of love is supposed to be found in a day old baby, and in those left with a day of survival as well. Which love am I talking about? Love for mankind, race, country, neighbours and that is unconditional too. We should love ourselves and be proud of whom we are, then after that we will be able to love, appreciate and respect the next person and the whole community at large.

Our land have been invaded by terrorist, who wear the leadership masks, and pretend to love people during the day; but plan on hurting them at the peak of the night. Leadership without love, I take it as diplomatic terrorism, for love and responsibility are intertwined and if a leader lacks one, practically he/she doesn't have both. Hatred in leaders is a house which is home to war, racism, tribalism, corruption, nepotism, absence of transparency, cruelty and the effects of all these affect ordinary people. Our leaders have to love their followers, make decisions out of love and for the goodness of our people; not to maintain political power or for self interest.

When the spirit of ubuntuism is upon us that is when we realize that it is wise to buy moderate goods from a brother, leaving high quality goods from a stranger, just to promote your fellow countryman. I don't know who indoctrinated us the gospel of self hat, but I'm see what is happening.  We have been taught to see homeless people as half human, as if they live that puking life forever, not realizing that only six things are needed to change such people shelter, food, towel, water, soap and love. We have a doctrine of hating our reflections, to look down on our inventions and developments (self hate mentality), so who is killing us, aren't we killing ourselves. Our minds have been programmed to go for a Samsung, yet a Gtel would be next to it in the same shop and shelf. Neither the Western nor Eastern countries will come and set our country ablaze, but the responsibility is with us and the potential within us as well… but what is left is to unleash the potential- to activate the spirit of oneness that has hibernated for a long time.

Zimbabwe and Africa at large is no longer in need of people with bread and butter mentality (a self containment idealism that has been created for us and we accepted it), but with the resources we have and the kind of workaholic loving people we are, on top of laymen's tables there should be bread and beacon or something else better.

I wonder where the spirit of Pan-Africanism is hiding or who kidnapped it? The love for people that forced Afro boys and girls to abandon their families and endure the pain of the decolonization struggles, for the liberty of the people. The caliber of people who had love as a component of their blood, they loved people, the country, change for better, hope and they never ran away from it. Today we have those who claim to be the custodians of the Pan-Africanism idea, yet most of them practice it through lip service.  That ideal that they preach about through them, can't touch or even move closer to pragmatism, and that is making us to wonder is ubuntuism is still existent or it's now a political figure of speech or a crowd pulling word. Who betrayed Africa? The consequences of the betrayal are hurting her children.

Think about this, Who we are?Where are we?  And why are we, where we are? Africa rise! Let's be pioneers of love, don't let Africa be betrayed by her children once again.
