Moyo on desperate ends to re-join Government

Operation Restore Legacy will always be an accomplishment that will forever be indebted in the hearts of Zimbabweans, as it ushered in a new era and dispensation that would make strides in making sure that Government represents the people and not just a handful of individuals.
It was also a time where Zimbabweans stood on their ground and made sure that the G40 cabal, which had become a poisonous thorn in the flesh for many, was stripped off its larger than life powers, where only a few elite enjoyed the national cake at the expense of most ordinary citizens. Some members of the cabal at first did not believe that the end of their gluttonous acts had arrived and probably to this day, still see the operation as a nightmare and a dream they wish to wake up from.
The likes of Professor Jonathan Moyo, who has always been a flip flopper in the political arena, still finds it hard to grasp that the end of G40 cabal was real and that their wings were clipped. Moyo has been ranting on social media, especially on twitter, showing how bitter and disgruntled he is over his ouster in Government, forgetting that it was his and his fellow cabal member's behaviour that made people feel that time for oppression was over.
Prof Jonathan Moyo took to twitter to show that given the opportunity, he would want to get back into Government, even if it meant through a Government of National Unity as happened in 2008. Moyo alleges that Operation Restore Legacy was a coup and is not convinced otherwise that the new dispensation was sworn in through Constitutional Provisions by Chief Justice Luke Malaba. The Legacy was also endorsed by regional bodies including the AU, EU, SADC and so forth, to which end, President Emmerson Mnangagwa as head of State, has been invited on different platforms to talk about the success of the Operation and has been welcome on different platforms where positive efforts have been made in making sure that Zimbabwe engages with the West, showing that Zimbabwe is open for business.
Moyo has shown that he is someone who will go with the wind, with any leadership as long as he is part of it and ultimately benefits by pocketing from looting whilst in Government. Already, the G40 cabal is making attempts to get into Government through its meagre National Patriotic Front led by Ambrose Mutinhiri with the blessing of former President Robert Mugabe.
It is undeniable that, by alleging that a GNU will cure the alleged ‘coup' of Operation Restore Legacy, the likes of Jonathan Moyo would make a comeback into active politics and continue to strip the country down far worse than they had already done when they were in power.
Moyo should by now appreciate that the people of Zimbabwe, as the saying goes, "once bitten twice shy," are more aware of the cunningness and shrewdness displayed by their likes and would not give heed to his call for a GNU so that people like him are given another chance. If Moyo and the G40 cabal could be any wiser, they would earlier appreciate that their time is up and politics is not for them anymore.
In any case, if Operation Restore Legacy was presumably a coup as Moyo suggests, then the harmonised elections set for July this year will prove that President Mnangagwa is a legitimate leader who was endorsed unanimously by the nation and is the favoured candidate to bring Zimbabwe to Canaan, the land of milk and honey.
