Long serving Confederation of African Football (CAF) president Issa Hayatou has been toppled by Madagascar's Ahmad Ahmad.
Elections where conducted today in Ethiopia.
Ahmad polled 34 votes and Hayatou 20.
"Ahmed Ahmed of Madagascar is the new CAF president..." @CAF_Online posted.
"Official: Madagascar's Ahmad Ahmad has been elected @CAF_Online president, ending Issa Hayatou's 29 year reign" CNN Football twitted.
Ahmad's victory ended the veteran Cameroonian strongman's 29 year reign.
Zifa president Philip Chiyangwa was Ahmad campaign manager.
