MAMELODI Sundowns communications co-ordinator Thulani Thuswa has described former Warriors captain Peter Ndlovu as a handy addition to the club.

He said Ndlovu's contribution was valuable to the team's quest for honours.

Thuswa said Sundowns had been looking for someone like Ndlovu who played at the highest level of the game to come on board and help the club in its quest for honours.

"Peter Ndlovu is a professional; he played at the highest level and also for the team. His addition to the club is valuable and it's something that we have been longing for for ages.

"He is a former player and knows the secrets of the team; we are delighted to have him in management.

"Ndlovu's presence is already being felt by opponents."

Thuswa said former Warrior midfielder Esrom Nyandoro gives guidance to youngsters and also fights for his place in the team.

Ndlovu was appointed manager at the beginning of the season.

Sundowns lead the 16-team log in the Premiership with 20 points.

Ndlovu played for the team a few years ago after a long stint in the English Premier League with teams such as Coventry City and Sheffield United.
