Woman bashes friend over boyfriend

Mphoengs-based Doris Ndlovu was convicted yesterday after she assaulted her friend over a boyfriend.
The 21-year-old woman was sentenced to 18 months in jail, which was conditionally suspended to 210 hours of community service.
Prosecutor Sheila Nyathi told the court that sometime in June, the convict had a misunderstanding with her friend Sitholakele Nyathi over a boyfriend.
Ndlovu became violent and assaulted Nyathi with clenched fists and pulled her dreadlocks from the complainant's head.
The matter was reported to the police, leading to the arrest of Ndlovu.
