MAMELODI Sundowns have distanced themselves from media reports that they are after the services of striker Knowledge Musona.

The Zimbabwe international, who spent the rest of last season with Kaizer Chiefs, was reportedly a wanted man at Chloorkop, but the Brazilians said this has never been the case.

"The club has stated that several players who have been linked with a move to Sundowns, among them Knowledge Musona, are not targets," Sundowns said on their official website.

Musona also made it clear during the AmaKhosi awards ceremony on Wednesday, that he will not play for any other PSL club no matter how tempting the offer can be.

The 23-year-old forward has set his sights on Europe although he could still be playing in the PSL next season if Bobby Motaung manages to convince his parent club TSG Hoffenheim to sell or loan the player back to Naturena.

Motaung is currently out of the country to try and finalize Musona's deal as early as possible and the future of the talented striker could be known soon.
