UK based Zim film maker shines

The United Kingdom based  Director/Cinematographer/Producer Busani Ncube, an independent filmmaker who has produced and directed a variety of documentary films, music videos, and short films,is a shinning star for Zimbabwe as he has fell in love with movies at the age of seven when he saw "Superman" on the big screen, and he has been making films ever since.

Ncube at the age of eighteen, undertook his first feature on Super VHS film, "Iluba lothando" which was produced by Amakhosi Theatre. Growing up, he continued making countless films. Ultimately, Busani went on to study at Teesside University (BA (Hons) Media Studies) with his graduation project Break Down, a short film that played at festivals.



According to his write up he is also engaged with building communities through video partnerships, empowering youth and communities to tell their own stories as the co-founder and program manager of the North East Stories Youth Video Workshop.

 Ncube has also written and directed a number of short fictional and documentary videos and he is currently running his own production company called Old Shoe Films were he has Directed and produced many different productions.

Originally from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, he now lives in Newcastle, UK.
