Controversial dancehall artiste Brenda Bechani, popularly known as Lady B will release three gospel songs this month.
Lady B is well-known for her vulgar lyrics and dirty dancing.
Her manager, Tinashe Gwindi said the musician had sought out to capture spiritual minds by recording three gospel songs on her upcoming album.
"She has decided to capture spiritual minds by recording three gospel tracks and that means an addition to the audience she already has," said Gwindi.
"She did a video for one of the songs titled Pinda Muzambara, which is already on YouTube and she will be releasing the other two Ndinoda Jesu and Mwari Anondida soon."
This is a sharp contrast to the outspoken artist's previous release Mpunduru, which has more than 12 000 views on YouTube due to its lurid images.
Mpunduru was posted on the social networking site YouTube on October 9 and has managed to attract both local and international reviews because of its raunchy dance routines.
The song was done riding on the famous Diwali riddim that rocked the dancehall music scene at the turn of the millennium.
In the video, skimpily dressed girls appear winding on car bonnets and on the streets, and it is in such a light that those who are familiar with her music view her.
But Gwindi said Lady B is a Christian who goes to the Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) church despite the content in her music.
He said the energetic singer will release a new album and a DVD in the next few weeks.
"She is working on a new album and a DVD that will be released on the same day," said Gwindi.
"The album carries 16 tracks, eight of them new and the remainder old, while the DVD will have 12 tracks."
She is often referred to as Zimbabwe's own Jamaican Lady Saw by many people because of the likeness of their music.
Interestingly, Lady Saw dumped dancehall music for gospel at the end of August.
Lady B has produced songs like Jekiseni, Siwiti, Nhafu, Rudo Rwaunondipa,Nyaya yeBonde and Ane Zihombe among others.
