Music sensation Zahara and Zimbabwean music promoter Max Mugaba raised eyebrows last week after they were photographed canoodling countless times during her visit to Harare.

The pair, who were all over each other, were first spotted at Soprano's Restaurant, where the South African and her band members were treated to lunch courtesy of CellOne Electronics.

The two were photographed getting cosy at the upmarket eatery in Avondale, but things got steamy when Max shamelessly fondled the songstress while she giggled uncontrollably in full view of diners.

Zahara was scheduled to perform at the Harare International Conference Centre alongside Oliver "Tuku" Mtukudzi, Alexio Kawara and Mokoomba.

However, the "Loliwe" hitmaker, who was clad in black skinny jeans before the show, returned the favour by hugging and touching Max of May 7 Entertainment. The flirting did not stop there as they were seen canoodling again at the venue just before meeting Tuku only to stop when the superstar arrived.

She later appeared to be bothered by Max's constant nagging and ended pushing Max off, from where she had been seated.

Sam Mataure, Tuku's manager, expressed disgust over Max's behaviour, forcing the May 7 boss to move over to another sofa. Onlookers were stunned and left wondering what might have been taking place behind closed doors raising questions of whether the two were an item or had previous relations.

Asked on his relations with Zahara, Max said Zahara was just a friend.

"She is just a friend guys, I wish you could just stop fussing over this. It was nothing really," he said.

Zahara'a performance at the weekend's gig left her fans spellbound with young acts like Alexio, BaShupi and Mokoomba putting up standout performances.
