RENOWNED musician Jeys Marabini has implored Zimbabweans to set aside their differences and join hands in celebrating the country's independence.
Zimbabwe celebrates 42 years of independence this year and the celebrations will be held in Bulawayo at Barbourfields Stadium on Monday.
Jeys Marabini is one of the headline acts at the Independence Gala taking place at Barbourfields Stadium's B arena.
The artiste said the nation should unite and celebrate this year's independence whose main event will be held in Bulawayo for the first time.
"As a nation we have to put our differences aside and enjoy our freedom as one. Those that sacrificed their lives to bring about independence want to see a united Zimbabwe with a shared vision," said Jeys Marabini.
He said he is geared up for the gala and is working overtime to prepare for the big day.
"I'm honoured and excited to be part of the line-up as it shows that my work is appreciated countrywide," said Jeys Marabini.
He said the people should come in their numbers to celebrate and have fun.
