Teen sentenced for bestiality with hen

A 19-year-old man from Zimunya township in Mutare has been sentenced to perform 175 hours of community service after being convicted of bestiality with a hen.
Carrington Mutasa was initially handed an eight-month jail term by a Mutare court. However, three months were suspended for five years on condition of good behavior, while the remaining five months were set aside on the condition that he completes community service.
According to court records, the incident occurred on September 16 around 5:30 PM, when Mutasa unlawfully entered a homestead in Zimunya Village and went into a fowl run. He grabbed a hen and engaged in sexual activity with it.
A child witnessed the act and immediately informed the chicken's owner, leading to Mutasa's arrest.
The case has sparked outrage in the local community, with residents describing the conduct as shocking and unacceptable.
