Bunjira says Bosso fans' actions were due to ignorance

Former warriors player Alois GQ Bunjira has said the Highlanders FC fans' action on Sunday was due to ignorance indicating that after watching the clip of the play which fans say was an offside he was convinced that it was not an offside.
The match between Boss and Dynamos was stopped after fans protested and pelted missiles to the assistant referee they accused of approving the score for Dynamos when it was shot after the player had already been in an offside position.
"Lack of knowledge dangerous. The Dynamos vs Highlanders match was abandoned after Dynamos scored an equalising goal which some Bosso fans believed it was offside. After watching the video of that goal,I don't see why people should say it was offside. The ball clearly came off a Bosso defender who was attempting to clear or block a shot at goal," Bunjira said in a Facebook post posted by Herald Editor Caesar Zvayi.
"That touch by the Bosso player put the Dynamos scorer onside and it is a clear goal.I am not why anyone could cry for offside.A miscue and a deflection are two different things.Even if the Dynamos player was initially in an offside position when the shot was taken, the Bosso defender's touch nullified the offside position and played the Dynamos player onside. The goal was legitimate. That is why I am saying the fans and administrators should take time to also go through the laws of the game so that they won't give out wrong messages. If we are all well versed with the laws of the game,we won't have unfortunate incidents like today."
He said hooligamism is never the answer.
"Yesterday I watched a blatantly wrong decision by a referee in the South African Premiership, but the fans kept their cool and the game went on.In English Premiership ,the ref disallowed a Mahrez goal when fans didn't know what was going on but they kept their cool till the end.And the ref was proved to be correct. Why do Zim fans behave that way........and especially when the referee is actually correct?" he said.
