Heal Zimbabwe Trust has claimed that the ruling Zanu PF leader in Chiwundura Ward 11 and 12 called a meeting with the village heads whom he ordered to make sure that the ruling party candidate Brown wins the by election last weekend.
Zanu PF candidate Brown Ndlovu won the election.
"Chief Joseph Chuma Chiwundura, Assistant District Administrator, Dandingwa and a Zanu PF activist, Brown Matengazi summoned all village heads in ward 11 and 12 for a meeting at Sakata shops ," said the trust.
"The trio told all the village heads present that they were supposed to ensure a Zanu PF victory because that is what the village heads are paid for by the Government. This they said will be achieved if village heads force all the people in
their wards to vote for Zanu PF in the by election which was held on 15 July 2017."
In Ward 14 the Village head Gideon Maputa allegedly intimidated community members for refusing to register to vote at Boulder polling station which is close to his homestead.
"Maputa threatened to evict all community members who failed to register at the polling station accusing them of being opposition supporters," said the trust.
