Boy (7) severely burnt by electricity

A Kadoma boy is admitted at Harare Central Hospital's Severe Burns Unit after sustaining serious burns when he was burnt while playing near a ZETDC transformer near Rimuka.
Abbie (7) of 23 Sihwede st in Rimuka who cannot talk and hear was I the company of his friends playing near an electricity transformer before the fatal explosion and a huge flame that engulfed him severely burning him.
According to a Kadoma who was the first to arrive at the scene said that she heard an explosion and saw a boy lying on the ground severely burnt.
"I heard an explosion and when I tried to find put where the explosion came from, I heard some people saying that it was a result of electricity, moments later I saw a boy lying on the ground severely injured,I quickly dashed to where he was calling for people to help to take the boy to the hospital and fortunately an identified man came with his car and we took the boy to Kadoma General Hospital!"said Mai Marvelous.
However,some residents interviewed put the blame on ZETDC for not keeping their infrastructure safe from people.
"This transformer has been left open by some ZETDC staff for a long time and children as children like to see what is inside which resulted in this incident!" said a man who has tuckshop near the transformer.
However Berina Radio has a chance of speaking to Abbie's mother from Harare where she said the boy was receiving treatment from the specialists.
