A Budiriro woman, who is part of a gang of credit card duplicators, appeared in court for allegedly defrauding four people of $21 231 after cloned their bank cards.
Beauty Chiweshe (36) appeared before magistrate Ms Tilda Mazhande charged with unauthorised use or possession of a credit or debit card.
She was remanded in custody to May 4.
It is alleged that on the first count, sometime during the month of January, Jorum Bhavhada sold his house for $18 000 and the money was deposited into his ZB account, which is linked to his debit card.
On February 14, Bhavhada made transactions at OK Kadoma at 4.20pm.
Chiweshe, in connivance with Rufaro Sachiti, who is on remand, Collen Zulu and Maison Ntanga, who are still at large, cloned Bhavhada's ZB card.
The gang proceeded to TV Sales and Home in Avondale and bought furniture worth $5 287.
It also went to Danclive Electronics and bought items worth $2 800.
The gang also bought more items, resulting in Bhavhada losing a total of $15 666.
The court heard that on the second count, the gang forged Antoinette Zvoushe's Steward Bank card and used it to buy pizza.
Zvoushe discovered the crime on March 24 when she received a message of a bank-to-wallet transaction, which he had not done, on his phone.
He lost $584.
