FORMER Highlanders utility player Bruce Kangwa has not ruled out chances of making a return to the club.
He has said he is ready to retrace his steps to the Bulawayo football giants.
In an interview on the sidelines of the Highlanders versus Chicken Inn match that was played at Barbourfields Stadium last Sunday, the ex-Azam Football Club captain revealed that his heart was still black and white.
"After being released by Azam FC, I have been on an off-season break. It was a good holiday that allowed me to have enough rest. As such, there is a time that one needs to move on. Highlanders has always been my home and I must say I'm willing to have another dance with Bosso," said Kangwa.
He added: "Bosso is my home and it's no wonder that I want to retrace to a club that gave me fame. I established myself at Highlanders but I cannot say much at the moment."
Bosso communications, media and marketing officer Nozibelo Maphosa said it was pleasing to note that Kangwa still has love for the club.
"Bruce Kangwa once played for us and he was one of our finest players. It really means a lot because as the player has shown he still has the love for the team. We are happy that he still identifies with the club. It's good that he still values the time he had with the club," said Maphosa.
Kangwa, who was at pains seeing Bosso go down to Chicken Inn on a 0-2 scoreline, joined Tanzanian football giants in 2016.
"It was great working with them and being appointed club captain. I got respect for it and I respected them for choosing me to be their leader. I captained the club for four years but at times not wearing the armband." Kangwa won everything on offer in the Tanzanian league except the league championship.
"It's every player's wish to win the league. So, it pains to leave the club without that league championship medal.
"However, it was about time for me to leave," said Kangwa who was released by Azam days after captaining them in the Tanzania FA Cup final.
Kangwa also played in both the African Champions League and Caf Confederations Cup.
His agent, George Deda described him as the ultimate professional who was humble and hard-working, always having a sense of belonging. The player joined Azam from Highlanders in 2016 after writing off US$12 000 owed to him by the club who were struggling financially then.
"The reason that I wrote off the money is that the Highlanders family had proved to be an ideal home. I don't regret anything with Bosso," said Kangwa
Kangwa started his professional career at Railstars FC before Madinda Ndlovu brought him over to the 2006 league champions in 2009.
