Highlanders Football Club has paid a glowing tribute to its long-serving goalkeeper and captain, Ariel Sibanda, for his exceptional 16 years of commitment and service to the club.

In a heartfelt ceremony, the Bulawayo-based football giants presented Sibanda with a Ford Ranger as a token of appreciation for his unwavering loyalty and outstanding contribution to the team over the years.

Speaking at the event, Highlanders officials described Sibanda as a cornerstone of the club's legacy and an exemplary leader who has consistently demonstrated professionalism, dedication, and passion for the game.

"Ariel has been a symbol of consistency, loyalty, and excellence. For 16 years, he has given his heart and soul to Highlanders, and this gesture is our way of saying thank you for everything he has done for the Bosso family," said the club's chairman, Johnfat Sibanda.

Sibanda, who joined Highlanders as a young goalkeeper in 2007, has since grown into a club legend, earning widespread respect for his skills, leadership on and off the pitch, and his ability to inspire his teammates. Throughout his career with the Bosso, he has been a key figure in the team's successes, including lifting multiple trophies.

Accepting the gift, Sibanda expressed his gratitude to the club, fans, and his teammates for their support throughout his journey.

"I am truly humbled and honored by this gesture. Highlanders is more than a club; it is my home and my family. I have always given my all for Bosso, and I will continue to cherish every moment I have spent here. Thank you to everyone who made this possible," said Sibanda.

The presentation of the Ford Ranger is seen as a fitting acknowledgment of Sibanda's dedication and serves as a reminder of Highlanders FC's commitment to celebrating the contributions of its players, both past and present.

As Sibanda continues his journey with Highlanders, fans and stakeholders alike are hopeful for more success stories, with the veteran goalkeeper still an integral part of the club's plans for the future.
