Road works along Victoria Falls- Bulawayo road
Varakashi 4ED Mashonaland West has praised what it described as tremendous progress in the rehabilitation of the Bulawayo–Victoria Falls Road, claiming the development will boost tourism and trade across Zimbabwe.

In an X (formerly Twitter) post titled Progress in Motion, the group said transformation is unfolding, particularly along the Hwange section, where construction is reportedly in full swing.

"This massive rehabilitation project goes beyond resurfacing a road - it's about reconnecting communities, boosting tourism, and powering trade across Zimbabwe," reads the post.

Boosting Tourism
"The upgraded highway is enhancing access to one of the world's natural wonders - the majestic Victoria Falls - making travel smoother and more enjoyable for visitors from around the globe."

Strengthening Trade
Varakashi 4ED said the improved route is set to become a vital commercial artery, ensuring faster and safer movement of goods and services between regions and across borders.

Improving Safety
"A modern, well-maintained road means fewer accidents, better visibility, and greater confidence for all road users. Every kilometre completed is a step forward in building a modern, connected Zimbabwe. This is more than just infrastructure - it's a symbol of progress, unity, and national pride," the post added.

The group's claims come amid ongoing public scrutiny over infrastructure delivery timelines and transparency in road rehabilitation projects.
