Econet Wireless Zimbabwe will next week host what it describes as one of the most significant technology exhibitions ever held in the country.
The three-day Econet E-novate Expo, scheduled for December 8–10, 2025, will take place at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) under the theme "Future-Ready Tech Synergies."
The listed telecommunications and technology giant says the event is designed to transform Zimbabwe's digital potential into tangible opportunities through immersive, real-world technological engagement. By drawing innovators and industry leaders from across Africa, Econet hopes to showcase and unpack emerging trends shaping the continent's digital transformation.
"The Expo will be an intersection of a cutting-edge technology exhibition, educative presentations and insightful conversations by some of the top and emerging voices in the tech and innovation space on the continent," an Econet spokesperson said.
The event will feature keynote addresses, fireside discussions, hackathons, masterclasses, gaming tournaments and youth-focused innovation challenges. Technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), 5G and cloud services will be on display, offering attendees a look into the present and future of digital services in Zimbabwe and beyond.
Econet said the expo will comprise two business-focused days and one public day, with organisers expecting strong participation from corporates, startups, entrepreneurs, regulators, academics, tech investors, students and digital content creators.
Company officials say the Expo underscores Econet's ongoing commitment to developing a vibrant technology and innovation ecosystem — one that nurtures skills development, mentorship and cross-sector collaboration.
