28 artistes set to perform at 2026 Independence Gala

Twenty-eight artistes from Zimbabwe's ten provinces have been unveiled as performers for this year's Independence Day gala, scheduled for April 18.
The main Independence celebrations will take place at the Maphisa Growth Point, while the gala itself is set to be held at the Minda High School grounds from 6 pm until the following morning.
The official roster of performers includes 29 artistes, featuring notable names such as Sandra Ndebele, Jeys Marabini, Clement Magwaza, Mavusani and The Chimurenga Vocalists, Dereck Mpofu, Andy Muridzo, the LMG Choir, Mbare Chimurenga Choir, Zinjaziyamluma, and Black Umfolosi.
Other performers include Ndolwane Super Sounds, Chief Hwenje, Khonangale, Indosakusa The Morning Star, Iyasa, Ma9Nine, Godolude, Bhadilah, Chase Skuza, Jah Master, Sasha, Bolamba Culture Birds, Ndux Makadii, Suluman Chimbetu, Ufasimba Home of Arts, DT Bio Mudimba, and Dubai Masters.
The gala will be hosted on the main stage by Thulani Munyadi, Leonard Ncube, Nqobile Malinga, and Cde Phil Moyo.
