Chivayo's coach warns PSL rivals

Highlanders head coach Benjani Mwaruwari has warned Premier Soccer League rivals not to underestimate his side, despite their winless start to the season.

His comments come after a goalless draw against Scotland FC at Rufaro Stadium on Monday.

Bosso have drawn all six of their opening league matches, leaving them still searching for their first victory. However, Highlanders remain unbeaten and are among only four teams yet to lose a match this season, alongside Scotland FC, Ngezi Platinum Stars and Dynamos FC.

"Football is a process," said Mwaruwari. "I'm happy with what we're doing, slowly but surely. As soon as this machine clicks well, I think it will cause problems for many teams. So people should not write us off yet."

Mwaruwari took over the reins at Highlanders FC in January, replacing South African coach Thabo Senong, whose stint lasted just two weeks. His appointment is being financially supported by club benefactor Wicknell Chivhayo.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that Highlanders are in talks with Knox Mutizwa over a possible move to the club. Mutizwa is currently a free agent after parting ways with Richards Bay FC last month.

Highlanders' main challenge has been in front of goal, having scored just three times in six matches, underlining the need to strengthen their attacking options as they look to turn draws into wins.
