Zimbabwe's Ngwenya named Betway Premiership Player of the Month

ZIMBABWE international Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya has been named the Betway Premiership Player of the Month for August after making a blistering start to the new season in South Africa.
The 23-year-old AmaZulu striker scored five goals in four league matches during the month and provided an assist, taking his tally to the top of the Premiership scoring charts.
Ngwenya has now scored seven goals in all competitions for AmaZulu this season, making him the club's leading scorer.
The Warriors forward has also matched a 20-year-old league record by scoring in four consecutive Premiership matches, equalling the feat previously achieved by Zambia legend Christopher Katongo.
Ngwenya beat TS Galaxy's Victor Letsoalo and Orlando Pirates defender Lebone Seema to the prestigious individual award.
The accolade adds another milestone to Ngwenya's rapidly developing career in South Africa following his move from Zimbabwean champions FC Platinum to AmaZulu last year.
