The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) has announced that it will officially shut down the Channel Two television station tomorrow the 14th of August.
In a media statement, ZBC Spokesperson, Mr Gladman Bandama confirmed that the possible time for the shutdown is 1700 hours.
Mr Bandama said the shutdown has been necessitated to smoothen and speed up the ongoing digitalisation process as some studios are being revamped in preparation for digital migration.
He however said ZBC TV will continue to broadcast as usual and will incorporate some popular Channel Two programmes.
Launched in 2010, Channel Two was broadcasting within an 80 kilometre radius of Harare and Bulawayo metropolitan provinces.
