Nera demo shelved

The planned National Electoral Reform Agenda demonstration that was scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed to November 30 after police reportedly refused to clear it.

Co-ordinators of the demonstrations were yesterday summoned to Harare Central Police Station to explain their intended march amid allegations law enforcers were keen to thwart any anti-government protests.

Nera wanted to protest against the impending introduction of bond notes as well as the reluctance by government to reform the country's electoral laws ahead of the 2018 harmonized elections.
