A woman from Kezi, who could not control her temper after discovering her husband's philandering ways apparently scalded him with cooking oil.
Precious Sibanda 26 is said to have had a quarrel with her husband Clever Ntini after the two met a child who looked happy to meet Ntini.
Sibanda immediately accused her husband of siring a child outside wedlock.
Ntini's inability to explain the child's behaviour led to his wife concluding that he had cheated with the child's mother.
The two are said to have headed back home but were no longer on talking terms.
When they got home, Sibanda is said to have proceeded to the kitchen where she came out carrying a cup with hot cooking oil which she used to scald her husband's privates with the intention of rendering his manhood useless.
Ntini was saved by villagers who rushed him to hospital and he sustained serious injuries.
Sibanda was hauled before Kezi magistrate, Mr Jimmy Ntonga.
She pleaded guilty to the charge and was remanded in custody custody to 5 July for trial.
