Bishop Lazarus, Manheru, Sharp Shooter afraid of change

28 Mar 2017 at 11:04hrs | Views

The Sunday Mail never fails to surprise and annoy me about its viciousness and malice against anyone who opposes the failed Robert Mugabe and his corrupt system. Now that we are getting close to the 2018 election, the Sunday Mail pseudo named editors have sharpened their hate tools against mainly Tsangirayi, Joice Mujuru, Mutsvangwa and more recently Strive Masiyiwa.

More vocal and apparently true enemies of change are Nathaniel Manheru, self styled Bishop Lazarus and someone who can't shoot at all, but dreams of being a Sharp Shooter. Bishop Lazarus and Sharp Shooter are pathetic, authors of hate speech and both are hyper frightened of change. Their articles are devoid of any substance except cursing, ridiculing and a clear manifestation of trembling at the idea of any political party being in power other than Zanu-PF. They go to the overdrive to discredit opposition politics. Bishop Lazarus and Sharp Shooter wish the opposition should just vanish so that Zanu-PF would be left unchallenged so as to continue pillaging the economy and ruining the livelihoods of the majority of Zimbabweans.

The comment in the Sunday Mail edition of 12th March 2017, 12th paragraph says, and I quote, "Zimbabweans want to see champions of economic turnaround and not champions of political scheming that do not feed any mouth except that of the triviality-obsessed politician". Whilst this is true, it is misdirected to opposition. The champions of mere political scheming without economic advancement is none other than Zanu-PF. Everyone notices the vicious jostling for positions in Zanu-PF while the economy on fire is being ignored.  We wonder why the author of the comment blames the opposition alone. Being overtly partisan as we all know, the comment deliberately fails to declare that it is Zanu-PF that is destroying the economy whilst concentrating only in remaining in power, but the author chooses to shift the blame somewhere else. In the article the author then quickly goes on to praise Command Agriculture to unprecedented levels. Even if opposition has better versions of improving production to restore economy viability, they are not allowed to speak in an oppressive and marginalising Zimbabwe's political landscape.

In article titled Behold, as capitalism joins succession race, I completely failed to understand what the author wanted to talk about. Whatever the Bishop Lazarus is puffing is really confusing him to the maximum. As he progresses with his article his hate and fear of Tsvangirai, Mujuru and Masiyiwa quickly takes centre stage. He doesn't fear the three, he fears change. But change is the only permanent process.
