The people of Bulawayo have reaffirmed their support and voting for ZAPU candidates in the Bulawayo by-election of 10 June 2015. The slogan is "Keep ZANU PF out of Bulawayo". The younger generation of new voters in Bulawayo are saying "#stand up Bulawayo vote ZAPU" The atmosphere in Bulawayo is reminiscent of the "Toyi toyi dolo phezulu" days during 1980 Zimbabwe national elections that marked the end of the liberation struggled that was wedged to bring democracy, justice and peace in Zimbabwe but that never was to this date courtesy to ZANU PF oppression.
The door to door campaigns commanded by the one and the only ingenious passionately nicknamed DD, the ZAPU president has ignited the city of koNthuthu Ziyathunqa into a new frenzy of hope and the revival of the dignity the city of Blues. Bulawayo omuhle, omuhle ngokwenza langenhliziyo; is making the right choice voting for ZAPU in all the five constituencies in the city.
There is something happening in Bulawayo now. The wind of change is blowing across the streets and township of Bulawayo, a wind that brings a new breath of politics. EPumula uyavunguza umoya, eLuveve uyaphephetha, eMpopoma kuyanyikinyeka, eMakokoba iZAPU ingeke ibulawe and Lobhengula kuyanyakazela The ZAPU devolution revolution is propelling in the five constituencies for the people of Bulawayo to vote the right way; the ZAPU way. Isifohlile! yathi "Nxa mani! uXa enkunzini ka ZAPU nkha!"
Bulawayo and certainly the people of Matabeleland have been economically and socially marginalized .Bulawayo has suffered isolation far more than the experiences of the colonial regime of the Rhodesian Front. Matabeleland and indeed Bulawayo is one of the poorest regions in Zimbabwe. Many people are living in poverty. People have had enough of the same old tired politics and tricks of ZANUPF. People of Bulawayo deserve better. They are determined to bring about the change with a ZAPU vote.
If by doing the same thing again and again voting for ZANU PF people in Bulawayo get companies closing, jobs given to outsides; people of Bulawayo humiliated as objects of scorn; primary schools staffed by non-Ndebele speaking teachers; public offices manned by official who cannot speak the local langauge; your birth certificate, ID, passport and names of roads are misspelt because that task is given to people who cannot speak and spell the language There is need a need to do something different to get something different. No matter how many times you vote ZANU PF the result will always be the same. Ingwe kayiwalahli amabala ayo.
Doing something different by voting ZAPU will give something different and satisfying. ZAPU says local jobs to local people, local decision by local communities; local businesses by local entrepreneurs; local resources for local people; local language at local schools; local radio station in local languages; and local customs, heritage and culture bestowed to local communities. Umkhankaso wenthuthuko uqala ebantwini. I-ZAPU ngeyabantu, I-ZAPU ngeyakho.
Bulawayo will all be going to the polling stations on 10 June by-elections in search for one thing only; that is to vote for ZAPU, People of Bulawayo will be out in the ballot box looking for the only charging black ZAPU bull with a white mark on its forehead. Hayi bo umsila phezula futhi njalo ithwele. There is only one bull in there, iphe mtshiso ngosiba ubhale uXA ebhokisini. Your vote is your secret, do it yourself, don't allow for unsolicited help. Ungesabi. Ngamanga ukuthi kulemitshina ebona ukuthi uvotele ngaphi. Ngamanga aluhlaza. Akulanto enjalo. Ungafiki udinge ukuncediswa ngena ebhokisini uzenzele kulula. Hamba phela uyevota lonyaka. Uvotele iZAPU kuphela.
Isifohlile Kayisabambeki!
