Pappa Ndlovu, thank you for your powerful words. Your "you tube" was indeed very thoughtful and a blessing in disguise. I am grateful for your video a hundred- fold. We are at a time when we needed to put all efforts together to remove Mugabe, you are loudly saying there is no room for complacency. We are indeed grateful for the activists on the grounds that are doing all the work for us, while some of us are locked up in the Diaspora.
To recap what you said in the video, Pappa Ndlovu, you said we must be part of the struggle to remove Mugabe and Zanu PF in power. We must join hands with the pressure groups on the ground and fight the evil government of Zanu PF. We must be in a position to stand up and demand the setting up a commission of truth and reconciliation that will deliberate on the atrocities that were committed during the Gugurahundi era, and finally give a closure to it. After the truth and reconciliation, we want to say never again in Zimbabwe shall there be genocide of that magnitude. We want to say never again shall there be crimes against humanity committed on our land. Remember Gugurahundi of the 1980s, remember farm invasions of 2000, remember Murambatsvina of 2005, remember mavotera papi of 2008. Crimes of genocide and crimes against humanity were committed in those eras.
You said it clear that Indaba yokuthi Shona – Ndebele ayisisi ndawo. You are dead right in this aspect. Tribalism does not take us anywhere; it will destroy us all instead, including the people of Mathebeleland we purport to represent when we write on social media. You are saying we should think about our children, children's children who will want to have it better than us, they deserve better. I could not have said it better than you did Pappa Ndlovu. Tribalism and tribal sentiments must cease in Zimbabwe and forever.
You said it very glass clear, we could be of South African origin yes but we are not South Africans but Zimbabweans, we must learn to solve our problems together with the peoples of Mashonalands. There is so much hope in this country; together we can make it a tribal tolerant dispensation. But while the enemy that now belongs to all of us the peoples of Mathebeleland and Mashonalands is known and is identified by all, we need to make concerted efforts to remove Mugabe together. You are right Pappa Ndlovu, we the peoples of Mathebeleland and Midlands saw this coming.
We are indeed grateful for the effort: our gallant braves; Promise Mkwananzi, Stern Zvorwadza, Linda Masarira and many activists who are languishing in prisons because they showed absolute courage in challenging the ruthless government head-on. They need our concerted effort coming from Mathebeleland, if we do not, history will find us wanting; will judge us for our complacency that is a fact.
The 1980 elections were indeed on tribal lines, the peoples of Mashonalands were threatened, intimidated by Zanu PF, whosoever voted Nkomo's Zapu PF would face death and destruction and Zanu meant it word for word, we know this. We cannot afford to hold a bone against the peoples of Mashonalands now. What is important now is that we all have realised the evil deeds of a few twisted criminal cabals that further perpetrated tribal division in the nation, we are a divided nation because of Zanu PF. The majority of ordinary citizens in Zimbabwe have come to realize and recognise that the evil is Zanu PF and its entire elite, the ruling elite.
The citizens in the Diaspora with greater expertise can assist the people in the country by working together on the idea of Zimbabwe Transitional Government. Experts should combine efforts and work out modalities of running a caretaker government. A political and economic transiting, from the political scenario of chaos and brutality to a smooth free and fair elections witnessed by the international community inclusive of world bodies such as AU, UN, EU and Commonwealth.
A situation whereby there is a power vacuum in Zimbabwe is possible. This is a very dangerous scenario, as it can create chaos and serious uncertainties in all regions of the nation. To remove these uncertainties, initiatives must be put together and form a transitional caretaker administration that will be monitored by the United Nations and the African Union. This administration will give normalcy and still be able to provide the citizens with frontline services for a specified period of time.
Zanu government and ministers must never be part of the transitional authority. There is enough expertise at home and in the Diaspora. Experts of various disciplines will be identified by the "assigned diplomat" from the Commonwealth, African Union or UN body to administrate the transition. It is prudent to say that a caretaker government is wholly appropriate in Zimbabwe as the nation will use that time to heal, diverse ethnic groups will be given a chance to come together and be asked what the peoples really want, never impose ideologies on them. To give a time of political hate healing, broken and divided nation will be helpful as it will give confidence to the next dispensation. That time-frame will give politics of issues and concerns of law and order and development and human rights concerns.
Pappa Ndlovu, you welcome this flag, I am sure #ThisFlag initiative is welcomed by all peace loving Zimbabwe citizens. #ThisFlag is the pioneer of our struggle to a new dispensation. #ThisFlag initiative will be a great success sooner or later. It is for this reason that we want to avoid situations similar to those of Libya or that of Egypt from taking place on our soil. You said it clearly in your video that chaos must be avoided; hence our activists on the ground are all demonstrating peacefully, offering flowers to the satanic police force. We want to protect our women and children from unnecessary conflicts that put us in vulnerable situations. We want to build concessionary measures and put in place a ready Transitional Team to step in with blessings of Zimbabweans.
We should focus mostly on how the preparations for a shut down Zimbabwe will be done. What do they constitute, is there any precedence, of historic nature whereby a country collapsed and there was a vacuum management that can invite the taking over of the military under the auspices of retaining "law and order" in a collapsed country?
What are the priority considerations going to be in a situation where there is a sudden power vacuum and who gives command to the police and army? Where are the rural and urban citizens going to get their food and water for the next 100 days after the absolute melt down of old regime? There is that great possibility in Zimbabwe today.
Thank you very much Pappa Ndlovu, you really put some us to shame; paddling tribalism on social media in a tribally-volatile country like Zimbabwe. I, me too, need to transcend beyond the confines of tribal thinking. I can assure you that; post Mugabe era, we shall make Zimbabwe a multi-kulti society: no hate speeches and unnecessary tribal conflicts, and "tribalism, evil tribalism, never to be extended to the next generation: #This Flag #Tajamuka #Ses'jikile #Hatichatya
