Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) returnees, Bantu Rovers, inspired by their stunning 3-1 win over championship dark horses How Mine last week, are looking to brew another shocker when they travel to the capital for a date with reigning league champions, Dynamos.
Tshintsha Guluva, as Bantu Rovers are affectionately known, will be looking at maintaining the momentum they gained after securing the Bulawayo bragging rights when they edged city rivals, How Mine last Saturday.
On the other hand, the Glamour Boys will be seeking to get back on track after suffering a last minute defeat at the hands of ZPC Kariba at the National Sports Stadium in Harare last Sunday.
Bantu Rovers's chairperson Wilbert Sibanda yesterday said though the clash against Dynamos would not be an easy game, his charges were geared up for Sunday's encounter and would approach the match without fear.
"It will not be an easy task because they (Dynamos) are the league champions, but the boys are ready for the game and we are training hard and after the weekend win, the team is psyched up and raring to go," said Sibanda.
The Tshintsha Guluva boss expects a solid display from the players and is banking on the technical expertise of the Methembe Ndlovu-led technical department to inspire the team.
"Against a team like Dynamos, we have to be disciplined and show our battling character and I trust that the coaching staff will instill that in the players," he said.
The Tshintsha Guluva camp yesterday reported a clean bill of health amid hope that the team would be at full strength when they make the trip to Harare for their third league match of the season.
The goalscorers from the last match against How Mine, Lawson Nkomo and Nqobizitha Masuku are expected to once again play a key role for Bantu Rovers along with former Highlanders striker, Obadiah Tarumbwa, who rejoined the club during the off-season after stints in Europe, Kenya and South Africa.
In their two league matches so far, Bantu Rovers have picked up three points, having lost their opener 1-0 to Black Rhinos on April 5.
Their hosts on Sunday, Dynamos have a similar league record, having edged How Mine 1-0 in their league opener at Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo on April 6, before they were upset 1-0 by Saul Chaminuka's ZPC Kariba.
