LEGEND Moses "Bambo" Chunga last weekend witnessed his side Chiredzi FC fall 1-3 to former Dynamos teammate Biggie Zuze's Triangle at Gibbo Stadium.

Today he entertains Highlanders at Chishamiso Stadium in his third Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) match with lowveld side.

His first was a 1-1 draw against FC Platinum - coached by another former teammate Lloyd Mutasa - and Chunga says he is looking forward to his maiden win in the PSL with the outfit.

"We are playing probably one of the giants in African football. It is a big challenge, but I have been at the top of the game myself and I know how to handle the pressure. I have quite a number of youngsters that are new to the PSL, but we will give Highlanders a good run for their money. My boys know that there are three points at stake. We are here to stay in the Premier League and we are not going to be like a candle in the wind that just blows out," Chunga said.

Chiredzi FC have in their books former FC Platinum veteran midfielder Rowan Nenzou and ex-Shabanie Mine nomadic striker Norman Maroto.

Other players who have PSL experience are Brigton Pamirwa, Tapiwa Dephistara and Abel Gwatidzo who have played for relegated Gunners.

Chunga said he has youngsters Lloyd Manyande from Hippo Valley Secondary School, Malvin Gaki and Philip Nelson.

Highlanders are beaming with confidence after the goals started coming last weekend when they beat Shabanie Mine from a brace from the spot by goalkeeper Munyaradzi Diya, Milton Ncube and Knox Mutizwa.

On Friday they beat Harare City 1-0 in the Independence Trophy (Uhuru Cup) third-place play-off at White City Stadium.

Head coach Kelvin Kaindu will take over from assistant Mark Mathe. He arrived back in the country on Friday from the United Kingdom. Mathe was in charge against Shabanie Mine and Harare City.

A big blow for Highlanders was the injury to striker Gabriel Nyoni when he came in as a substitute in the Shabanie Mine match but they have Kudakwashe Mahachi, Charles Sibanda, Ncube and Mutizwa to bank on for the goals.

The Bulawayo giants also have Peter "Rio" Moyo, Erick Mudzingwa and Mthulisi Maphosa with the trusted defence of skipper Innocent Mapuranga, Dumisani "Fazo" Ndlovu, Bruce Kangwa, Simon Munawa and goalkeeper Diya.

Goalkeeper Ariel Sibanda was in superb form when Highlanders beat Harare City in the Uhuru Cup third-place play-off on Friday.
