Premier Soccer League giants Highlanders FC have begun preparations for the 2015 season in earnest with more than 60 players turning up for trials with the team.
Highlanders' training ground Hartsfield stadium was packed as over 60 players came to try and impress the Bosso technical team led by Bongani Mafu.
30 returning players also went through their paces including Felix Chindungwe, Gabriel Nyoni, Innocent Mapuranga, captain Ariel Sibanda, Simba Sithole, Simon Munanwa and Welcome Ndiweni.
"I have been impressed by the commitment that has been shown by the players who have pitched up for the pre-season training," said Mafu.
The new coach poured water on some media claims that he has already fired some players saying those who have left are out of contract.
The Highlanders board chairman Mgcini Nkolomi and executive committee chair Peter Dube were also watching the training session.
Last season, Highlanders finished without any silverware and 5th on the log.
