The Castle Lager Premiership is headed for turbulent waters after Dynamos threatened not to fulfil Sunday's match against Highlanders at Barbourfields Stadium in fear of their safety.
"To be honest with you, we are afraid of going to play at Barbourfields because of the violence that has been happening there in recent years."
"As a matter of fact we are sitting down as an executive to see how best we can handle the situation. We are worried about our welfare.
"Morale is very low in our camp. We can't even prepare well thinking that we are going to play at Barbourfields because it's now more like a warzone.
"The most worrying thing is that we don't feel protected each time we go there. We are worried about the welfare of our players, supporters and us.
"In as much as we want to go there and play football at the same time we fear for our safety there.
"So, as Dynamos we feel it is better to give Highlanders the three points and save our lives. I don't think it's worth dying for football. Come to think of it, each time we play at Barbourfields there is always violence," said Dynamos President Kenny Mubaiwa
