THE Zimbabwe under 21 hockey men and women's teams have stepped up preparations for the Junior Africa Cup tournament slated for Egypt in March next year.
The Zimbabwe junior hockey teams have regrouped for their second training camp ahead of the tournament.
The tournament which will be held in Egypt from March 15 to March 23 also serves as a qualifier for the Junior hockey World Cup.
"We have just started testing how the teams are while they were away and they are starting to look good. We are looking at cutting our team at the end of this Cup. We are not going to the qualifications just to be there, obviously we want to book our place at the world Cup. Our target is a top finish," said Zimbabwe's Under 21 hockey teams coach, Prince Mwale.
Zimbabwe will compete against hosts Egypt, South Africa, Namibia, Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya as they battle for a podium finish to qualify for the World Cup.
