Preparations for CUCSA games underway in Bulawayo

Preparations for the Confederation of University and College Sports Association (CUCSA) games which will be hosted in Zimbabwe this August have begun in Bulawayo.
Zimbabwe will host the 18th edition of the CUCSA games which will run from the 1st to the 6th of August in Bulawayo, under the theme 'regional Integration Through Sport'.
This is the second time that the country will be hosting the games the first being in 1996 when the games were held in Harare.
The Zimbabwe Tertiary Institution Sports Union marketing officer, Tsitsi Kufa said logistical plans are on course with games venues for the multi-disciplined show already identified.
An estimated 1 500 athletes are expected to take part in the CUCSA games, which brings in winning teams in various disciplines from 10 SADC countries' higher institutions of learning.
These include South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique, Lesotho, Botswana, Malawi, Zambia, Angola, Namibia and Zimbabwe.
