Ngoni Stadium - Zimbabwe's Under-17 national football team, the Young Warriors, remain winless and goalless at the ongoing CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations COSAFA Qualifiers after a frustrating 0–0 draw against Eswatini in their second Group A match.

Despite entering the tournament with high hopes and a forward line praised for its domestic scoring record, Zimbabwe has yet to find the back of the net. The stalemate follows a narrow 1- 0 defeat to Mozambique in their opening fixture, leaving the Young Warriors with just one point from a possible six.

Coach Calls for Composure and Confidence

Head coach Thulani Sibanda expressed concern over his side's lack of cutting edge in front of goal, despite creating opportunities.

"We are creating chances, but we need more confidence and maturity in front of the goal," Sibanda said. "Awa [Awakhiwe Tshalibe] didn't start the first match, but today you could see his impact. El Shaddai [Sadomba] was brilliant off the bench. But Tadiwa [Chakuchichi], our talisman, just isn't clicking. Maybe there's a hidden injury - we need to investigate."

Group A Still Wide Open

The draw against Eswatini, coupled with a goalless result between Mozambique and Comoros earlier in the day, keeps Group A delicately poised. Zimbabwe must now win their final group match and hope other results fall in their favor to secure a semi-final berth.

Sunday Showdowns Await

Attention now turns to Sunday's Group B and C clashes. South Africa takes on Madagascar, while Zambia faces Malawi at Heart Stadium. Meanwhile, Ngoni Stadium will host Botswana vs Mauritius and Angola vs Lesotho, as the race for semi-final spots intensifies.

The tournament continues to deliver drama and unpredictability, with every match shaping the fate of young footballing hopefuls across the region.
