MDC-T deputy secretary general Tapiwa Mashakada has said Zimbabwean authorities have no idea on how to leverage the nation's relations to improve the economy and trade.
The remarks come at a time when the country is facing a parch in the economy due to cash shortages and economic crisis.
"Zimbabwe has no idea how to leverage its foreign relations to cause economic and trade links in the best interest of Zimbabwe. Look at how Zim assisted Equatorial Guinea to thwart a military coup. Today Zim is failing to unlock doors for the private sector to exploit opportunities in this oil rich central African country," he said.
"The same applies to the DRC and Mozambique. Diplomacy must be followed by economic cooperation, trade and investment deals and financial transactions. Not cassava and rice donations."
