Inkanyezi Zezulu urges patience

JOHANNESBURG - Isicathamiya/Imbube group and SATMA awards nominees Inkanyezi Zezulu have released their much awaited second album entitled 'Bekezela' which means be patient.

Following their nomination at the South African Traditional Music Awards, the 11-member group recorded their latest album at the revered Downtown Studios in Johannesburg. Highlanders, Laduma, Waduka nezwe and the title tracks are the outstanding hits on this album.

Group organiser Mxolisi Mavundla, also a vocalist, sounded optimistic about their latest offering and is hopeful that Bekezela will follow their debut album's success. The 11-track album also has gospel songs; Jesus is the way, Ngesonto and the track Izingilosi Zezulu which was composed by Simon Ngubane their producer.

"We have high hopes on this album as we recorded at a great studio with all the sounds we want and we feel we are now on another level. People also appreciate the tracks we have been playing in different shows."

In Waduka nezwe, we encourage people living outside the country to keep in contact with parents at home and always remember their roots. In Laduma, we inform people where we come from; the mountainous region of Matopo whilst Highlanders praises the Bulawayo based football club." Mavundla said.

Formed in 2010, they rose into fame when their debut album; 'Emthethwandaba' was nominated at the 2011 SATMA Awards and dominated radio airplay in top stations like Ukhozi FM.
