SAR officials intercept vehicle loaded with over 10 000 counterfeitr sneakers

The South African Revenue Service officials at the Lebombo Border Post has intercepted a vehicle carrying more than 10 000 counterfeit brand name sneakers worth over $8,7 million.
Sneakers are shoes primarily designed for sports or other forms of physical exercise. Details of where the smugglers were coming from and were going to are still sketch but sources believe they were destined for Zimbabwe where there is an escalation of informal trading in a country with close to 90 percent unemployment.
