Kenya SG visits ZUJ Offices

Kenya Union of Journalists, Secretary General, and First Vice President of the Eastern Africa Journalists Association (EAJA), Eric Odour has on 3 November, paid a courtesy call on Zimbabwe Union of Journalists, ZUJ, Secretary General, Foster Dongozi.
ZUJ indicated in a statement that Odour's visit comes after his recent election to the post of First Vice President of EAJA, the East African regional grouping of more than 10 Journalists trade unions and associations.
"The ZUJ Secretary General and Odour discussed issues of mutual interest including the safety of African journalists. In addition, they discussed the upcoming Federation of African Journalists Congress (FAJ," ZUJ said.
"Also up for discussion was the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) World Congress which is set for France early next year."
ZUJ said Odour was handed a ZUJ Press safety jacket and cap which he was urged to popularise in Kenya and the rest of East Africa.
