Some ordinary level students at Sizane High School in Pelandaba had to write their Food and Nutrition practical examinations using unfamiliar equipment after their laboratory was destroyed by strong winds in Bulawayo last week.

Sizane High School Head Reverend Deborah Manyoba said the use of unfamiliar equipment disadvantaged a number of students at the school as they had difficulties in coping with some of the utensils at their disposal.

Reverend Manyoba appealed to the corporate world and the community to assist in the refurbishment of the school to avoid the disruption of ordinary level examinations which will commence next week.

Last week, Sizane High School was left counting huge losses after heavy rains swept across Bulawayo destroying several buildings and equipment.
