First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa has donated brand-new blankets for every bed in all central and provincial hospitals across Zimbabwe, in her capacity as Health and Child Care Ambassador.
She announced the initiative via her official X (formerly Twitter) account.
"As Health and Child Care Ambassador, I donated brand-new blankets for every bed in all central and provincial hospitals across Zimbabwe, which will help contribute positively to citizens' access to quality healthcare," she posted.
"I ensured that each bed will benefit from two blankets. This gesture ensures no patient goes without warmth and dignity. This initiative builds on my previous donations of medical supplies and equipment, further strengthening my role as Health Ambassador."
Hospital representatives expressed gratitude, noting that the blankets will significantly improve patient comfort and aid recovery.
"Together we continue strengthening our health system for the good of our people. May the Lord continue to guide and bless this great nation," the First Lady added.
