Residents of Bulawayo and surrounding areas have been offered a life‑changing opportunity as Operation of Hope partners with Mpilo Central Hospital to provide free cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries.
According to a notice from the hospital, the special surgical mission will take place in May 2026, bringing hope to both children and adults living with these conditions.
Screening will be conducted on:
- Saturday, 2 May 2026 - 8:00 AM
- Sunday, 10 May 2026 - 8:00 AM
All prospective patients must attend screening before surgery.
The programme is open to individuals aged six months and above. However, patients with keloids will not be eligible for treatment during this mission.
