Mvuramanzi Trust, Red Cross, LEAD Trust in toilet construction projects in Binga

The Red Cross and The LEAD Trust are reported to be embarked in toilet construction projects in Binga as a way of empowering the communities with proper water and sanitation facilities.
The Binga Rural District Council revealed that the two non governmental organisation were embarked into such projects in the district.
"On water and sanitation, council is [partnering with Mvuramanzi, Red Cross and the LEAD Trust in the construction of latrines in rural communities. Red Cross has completed 53 toilets in Manjolo, Siachilaba and Simatelele wards. Mvuramanzi Trust has trained a total of 62 villagers in pump machanics from Kariangwe, Tinde, Kabuba, Lubu, Muchesu and Sinakoma wards. Council is doing the collectionm of refuse at Binga Centre on a weekly basis," said the council.
"In collaboration with NGOs like Christian Care, LEAD Trust, and KMTC, council has rehabilitated boreholes and is constructing 3 dams in rural areas in Siachilaba, Sianzyundu and Sikalenge."
