Former Warriors defender David Mkandawire who was reported to be literally living a destitute life in South Africa early this year is now a qualified coach.
He has completed CAF D License coaching certificate.
Mkandawire was photographed milling around Shoprite in Kempton Park, barefoot, in dirty black shorts and a black Puma T-shirt.
However, according to KickOff magazine, South African Players' Union president Tebogo Monyai confirmed that Mkandawire has attained his coaching badges.
"Mkandawire is back home now after attending rehabilitation at Weskoppies here in Pretoria," Monyai told KickOff.com.
Monyai said they are trying to secure a job for him.
